Nithyanandam!For the last 30 or so years Udaysree has been fascinated with about everything based on the rich Vedic tradition of India. Her passion ranges from ancient Indian yantras and rituals to images of gods in Hindu temples. She uses her art and meditation classes to raise people’s consciousness.

Fascinated by the mysticism of Yantras which are traditionally used in ritualistic worship and for spiritual practices potentially leading the viewer to delve into the Source, into Existence itself, I create unique pieces of abstract and meditation art in both acrylics and as digital fine art. My artwork often shows the bindu, a symbol for pure consciousness, at the center. The bindu is the ultimate point of psycho cosmic integration, where the viewer or meditator discovers his or her connection with the Whole.

I am inspired to create simply by a desire to express myself and on the way to discover deeper hidden truth about who I really am. Often the work of other artists is a starting point to spark the fire of creativity in me, then quickly takes on a life of its own.
Fast drying acrylics leave no room for impatience and so it is with digital art in which I can get lost. Art for me is simply a process of letting go and flowing with the moment.
I challenge myself to design each piece of artwork in such a way that it draws the viewer into the center by itself. I accomplish this by the use of color and shape, at times with texture. Collectors upon viewing my artwork always express a surprised: ’It’s so peaceful.’ I would love everyone to say that it makes them feel centered; that my art brings more clarity and inner peace into their lives.
